Quality control inspector – plastic products manufacturing
Responsibilities of the position
The responsibilities and tasks related to the job are :
- Educate production team on quality control issues and work with departmental managers to improve overall company safety and product quality to ensure GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices)
- Assist in the setup and preparation of printing presses before production runs
- Follow bag machine operations and operate instructions and calibration, size requirements, and support equipment
- Interpret graphs and read various non-destructive quality control instruments such as thickness gauges, calipers etc
- Monitor the printing process to ensure quality and quantity and advise adjustments as needed
- Complete quality inspection sheet based on the dockets on daily basis
- Inspect printed materials for defects and inconsistencies
- Collaborate with senior pressmen to troubleshoot and address printing issues
- Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines and report any safety concerns or issues to supervisors.
- Provide technical leadership in the areas of safety and quality systems
- Work closely with production staff concerning quality discrepancies and provide feedback in support of preventive and corrective action activities
- Maintain safe and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures to achieve quality assurance principles while complying with legal regulations
- Other duties as requested by supervisor
