JOB DESCRIPTION

We are currently looking for an Industrial Mecanic Apprentice for our facility located in Brampton. We are looking for a team player for whom the challenges of a manufacturing environment is what you are searching for. You will work in collaboration with the production department and will be responsible for the proper functioning of production equipment and mechanical installations. You will be the technical reference for all issues within your scope of knowledge and expertise.

  • Dayshift, Monday to Friday;

Responsibilities: Ensure optimal operation of equipment;

    • Respond to service calls quickly;
    • Identify and diagnose breakdowns, irregularities and failures;
    • Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance using the CMMS system – Computerized; Maintenance Management Software;
    • Conduct optimization and continuous improvement projects;
    • Make selection and installation of electromechanical equipment;
    • Perform safety improvements on equipment;
    • Program automatons – robotics;
    • Participate in special projects;
    • Follow up with subcontractors;
    • Respect the standards of quality as well as health and safety at work.

COMPETENCIES AND REQUIREMENTS

Required profile: Relevant experience in manufacturing;

    • Mastery of PLCs;
    • Mastery of computer tools such as the Internet, the MS Office suite and PLC programming software;
    • Flexibility to answer emergency calls outside of your shift;
    • Good physical condition and ability to work in a warm environment, narrow places, in height and in different working positions;
    • Spoken and written English;
    • Interpersonal communication skills;
    • Autonomous, methodical and efficient.

JOB DESCRIPTION

We are currently looking for a Maintenance Supervisor for our facility in Brampton. The Maintenance Supervisor will manage the maintenance team and ensure technical support for the plant’s maintenance and production activities (health and safety, troubleshooting, analysis of recurring failures, improvements to existing equipment, supervision of major repair work, etc.). We are looking for a team player for whom the day-to-day challenges of a manufacturing environment brings out their very best. You will work in collaboration with the production department and all other associated departments as well.

  • Plan and coordinate the work of the maintenance department (preventative, predictive and emergencies for both building and equipment);
  • Supervise and provide technical support to the maintenance team and other departments;
  • Manage priorities and service calls;
  • Address issues surrounding the safe operation of all equipment and facility as top priority;
  • Order parts and maintenance equipment;
  • Supervise the subcontractors;
  • Implement and collaborate to the establishment of a computer-assisted maintenance system;
  • Establish and maintain the technical documentation of the plant;
  • Be in a continuous improvement mode;
  • Ensure facility meets government regulations including environmental and health and safety standards;
  • Ensure that safety regulations, safe work & hygiene practices as well as operating instructions are clearly applied as required by the Occupational Health and Safety Act regulations;
  • Work with Quality Assurance and Production for process control program implementation and continuous improvement of equipment performance monitoring.

Required profile

  • Technical diploma in mechanics, electromechanics or related field;
  • Education diploma in engineering; an asset;
  • Strong mechanical skills and practical experience;
  • Relevant experience in manufacturing as a Maintenance Supervisor;
  • Leadership;
  • Respectful management style and interpersonal communication skills;
  • Analytical skills, aptitude for problem solving as well as a quick and efficient ability to make decisions;
  • Ability to work under pressure;

  • Practical knowledge of AutoDesk Inventor or Solidworks

  • Hold a High school diploma combine experience or a Machining certificate or a CNC Machining certificate or equivalent

  • Knowledge of shop equipment including CNC machines, an asset
  • Strong mechanical aptitudes
  • Enjoy teamwork, but also a self-starter
  • Be available for occasional trips between the 2 factories
