Alain Robillard

President and Chief Executive Officer

With more than 20 years of experience in the manufacturing field, Alain Robillard rose through the ranks from comptroller to CEO. Companies under his management enjoyed exceptional growth and were recognized as models of integrity within the industry. As president and general manager of Gelpac Inc., he ensures that each stakeholder contributes to the achievement of the strategic plan.

A key strength of this manager with a keen long-term vision is the quality of his leadership. Day-in, day-out he strives to optimize the synergy of his teams in order to efficiently reach bold targets.

In addition to an open mind and multidisciplinary skills, Alain boasts a diploma in administration from Université du Québec à Montréal (UQAM) and holds CPA and CA certifications from Ordre des comptables professionnels agréés du Québec.

Jonathan Lesage

Vice President Operations

Jonathan is a graduate of Université du Québec à Trois-Rivières (UQTR) with a degree in industrial engineering. He is a certified member of Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec.

He started his career in the quality control departments of various component manufacturers in the automotive industry.

He joined the Gelpac team as production supervisor in 2003. His quick mind, can-do attitude and leadership skills served him well, earning him successive promotions to quality supervisor, corporate project manager in charge of automation/robotization and plant manager. Today, as Vice President Operations, he oversees all production and engineering issues.

Mélanie Turcotte

Vice President Human Resources

A seasoned Human Resources professional, Mélanie has dutifully earned the trust of Gelpac’s management and personnel. She invests her knowledge, her deep experience and people skills on a daily basis in order to help each team successfully reach its performance targets. Her comprehensive track record covers many industries and manufacturing companies that are leaders in their respective fields.

Holding a Bachelor’s degree in business administration with a major in human resources management from Laval University, Mrs. Turcotte is also deeply committed to her community. For a good many years, she was Chairman of the board of La Bambinerie, a non-profit organization dedicated to the well-being of young families and she was Secretary of the L-H Lafontaine school council.

Patrice Fortin

Vice President Finance

After earning a university degree in business administration with a marketing major from École des Hautes Études commerciales de Montréal (HEC), this accomplished manager went on to become a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) and a Certified Management Accountant (CMA).

Mr. Fortin started his career as a cost analyst with CCM Hockey. He later worked at Crane Canada Inc. as a financial analyst, before joining the Gelpac team in 2000 as comptroller of our polyethylene division. In 2003, he was promoted to corporate comptroller. A consummate team player with keen strategic skills, Patrice will be called upon to help fuel Gelpac’s continued growth as Chief Financial Officer.

Frédéric Rousseau

Vice President Quality, R & D and Procurement

After graduating from Sherbrooke University with a bachelor’s degree in chemistry and a specialization in the chemistry of materials, Frédéric began his career as a chemist with an international manufacturer of paints and wood stains. Within a few years, he was promoted to manager of the UV paint department.

In 2004, he accepted the position of laboratory supervisor at Gelpac’s polyethylene plant. With his sharp, analytical mind and in-depth knowledge of materials, he quickly moved up the corporate ladder. Today, he not only oversees the application of the company’s thorough quality assurance procedures but also the procurement of raw materials that meet Gelpac’s strict specifications. His R&D initiatives keep the company at the leading edge of the industry.

Luc Ravenelle

Vice President Sales and Marketing

This energetic manager combines considerable production and field experience with outstanding leadership skills to effectively motivate Gelpac’s team of sales professionals to achieve ever-higher levels of client satisfaction.

For more than 25 years in what he describes as a very exciting industry, he has committed his skills and determination to the growth of medium to large corporations. He brings a depth of highly relevant knowledge and expertise to the management of his team, having progressively held the positions of buyer, purchasing manager and plant operations manager. He currently drives the company’s strategic sales and marketing initiatives with conviction and is recognized by his peers as a major contributor to the health of the industry.
