Problem

One of our clients, who bags milk powder, complained that air was remaining in the bag during the bagging process. This prevented him from efficiently pilling up the bags on the pallets in a stable and safe manner. Because of limited warehousing space, the client needed stacks that were three pallets high.

Solution

We designed a ventilated barrier bag that allows the air to exhaust immediately. Another challenge was to protect the product inside from contamination. We found a successful solution by designing a patented solution called GEL-AIR.

Recommendations

The client can now stack up the bags neatly; the pallets are well wrapped and stacked in the warehouse to maximize the space available. Furthermore, clients are happy to receive well-packaged products on stable pallets.
